IBS & Chronic Digestive Complaints
The GHK Perspective on the “Indigestible Morsel”
Exploring Irritable Bowel Syndrome, spastic colon and digestive complaints through the GHK concepts of biological conflict, tissue layers, healing phases and conflict tracks.
What Does the “Indigestible Morsel” Mean?
Within Germanic Healing Knowledge (GHK), Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and certain chronic digestive complaintsβincluding spastic colon and conditions described as colitis ulcerosaβare interpreted through the concept of Sinnvolle Biologische Sonderprogramme (SBS), or “Meaningful Biological Special Programs.”
According to this framework, the biological program is associated with an “indigestible anger” or “indigestible morsel” conflict: unverdaulicher Γrger- / Brocken-Konflikt.
“I Can’t Digest This.”
In the GHK interpretation, the biological conflict is not necessarily about food itself. It may involve a situation that the person experiences as something they cannot psychologically absorb, digest, process or eliminate.
“I cannot digest what happened.”
“I cannot get rid of this.”
“This situation is impossible to digest.”
The “Indigestible Morsel”
β‘ The Emotional Shock β DHS
Within the GHK model, the conflict begins with an acute and unexpected emotional shock known as Dirk Hamer Syndrome (DHS).
In the digestive context, the experience is described as a situation, insult, financial dispute, family argument or other event that the individual feels unable to absorb, digest or get rid of.
“Einen Brocken nicht verdauen zu kΓΆnnen”
The feeling of being unable to digest an “indigestible morsel.”
𧬠The Proposed Biological Meaning
According to the GHK interpretation, the digestive system responds biologically to the perceived problem of an “indigestible morsel.” The proposed purpose is to help the organism process, digest or move the perceived morsel through the digestive tract.

Why Digestive Symptoms Can Look Different
GHK differentiates digestive symptoms according to the tissue layer, associated brain relay and phase of the biological program.
β‘ Conflict-Active Phase β ca-Phase
Within the GHK model, the intestinal mucosa is associated with brainstem relays. During conflict activity, cell proliferation is described as serving the proposed biological purpose of producing additional digestive secretions to help process the “morsel.”
πΏ Healing Phase β pcl-Phase
After Conflictolyse, the framework describes the excess tissue as undergoing breakdown during the healing phase. GHK attributes this process to mycobacteria or other bacteria where available.
- Swelling
- Inflammatory symptoms
- Foul-smelling diarrhea
- Mucous discharge
- Abdominal pain
These symptoms are interpreted within the GHK framework as manifestations of the healing phase.
β‘ Conflict-Active Phase
If the conflict content involves being unable to move or push the “morsel” forward, GHK describes involvement of the intestinal musculature and proposes localized paralysis, referred to in this context as paralytic ileus.
π Healing Phase & Epileptoid Crisis
During the healing phase, particularly around the proposed Epileptoid Crisis, the framework describes strong intestinal contractions, cramping, increased peristalsis and purging.
The same digestive tract can therefore display very different symptoms depending on the tissue involved and the biological phase being considered.
Conflict Tracks & “Hanging Healing”
One of the key GHK explanations for recurring symptoms is the concept of Schienen (tracks).
Hanging Healing
The conflict is resolved, but the healing process is repeatedly interrupted before completion.
Tracks / Schienen
Environmental or emotional details associated with the original conflict can later act as reminders.
π§ How Does a Track Work According to GHK?
At the moment of the original DHS, the brain is said within the GHK model to record surrounding details of the experience.
Possible “Track” Examples
When the person encounters one of these details later, GHK proposes that the original conflict track may be briefly reactivated. When the track drops away again, the corresponding biological process may change againβcreating a recurring cycle of digestive symptoms.
The Proposed IBS Cycle
In the GHK interpretation, repeated reactivation can prevent the biological process from completing and produce a recurring pattern of symptoms.
π§ The GHK Question Behind Recurring Digestive Symptoms
Instead of looking only at what was eaten before a flare-up, the GHK approach asks:
“What was happening in my life when this began?”
“What am I still unable to digest?”
“What keeps bringing me back to the same track?”
